Each year the Winthrop Congregational Church, UCC offers the congregation and the community the opportunity to purchase white lights in memory or in honor of a loved one for the Memorial Tree on the lawn during the Christmas season. Watching the colored bulbs being exchanged for white as the memorials are received is a tradition at our church and in our community. Each light that sparkles and shines out into the night is a gentle reminder of our loved ones at this special time of the year. Funds from the sale of the Memorial Lights help defer costs to keep our Church accessible. |
